How are you doing? How are you holding up during this crisis?
Fortunately we’ve got crochet and if I speak for myself, it brings me a lot of comfort. I’m still able to completely zoom out, let the happy hormones do their thing, create beautiful things and simply enjoy… I feel lucky!
Crochet stitch patterns
I’m on a constant hunt for nice crochet stitch patterns that I can use to design a bag. Sometimes they don’t work out. The holes are too big for example or they need a finer yarn and a smaller hook.
When I came across this triangle pattern, it was love at first sight. I had to modify it a bit but it work out perfectly. I turned out even more perfect when my testers had a go at the pattern. What would I do without them?
Drops Muskat
I used one of my favourite yarns, Drops Muskat for the bag. It is a supernice mercerised Egyptian cotton. I love it so much because it has a glorious sheen and is strong and durable. It comes in 40 different shades and is machine washable! Perfect for a crochet market bag if you ask me. But of course you can use any DK cotton.
Crochet market bags
You can imagine that in the meantime I’ve got a big stash of crochet market bags. And mostly I don’t use them to go to the market haha. I use them to organize a lot of stuff in our household, toiletpaper, gloves, scarves, socks, yarn, crochet projects, you name it!
What do you use yours for?
The pattern
The Little Triangles market bag is a fun and easy project. “Unique” one of my testers called it! And such a good alternative for plastic bags!! “You are going to want to make this one!” said another tester. (Honestly, just look on Insta :-))
