The must have accessory for your home and garden!
Crochet lanterns are so much fun to make. You can play with colours endlessly! The Gran Festa lantern is relatively easy to crochet and the photos and crochet charts make the pattern suitable for adventurous beginners!
Crochet lanterns bring colour and light to your home and garden! You can easily hang a led light in your lantern and it will make the darkest corners the coziest spots to chill out in. Tip: use glitter yarn to make your lantern even more festive!
Gran Festa
Gran festa means big party in Italian. And who doesn’t know that Italians do it better?
I love to decorate my home in a way I get that holiday vibe. Even more now that I haven’t been abroad in 2 years due to the pandemic!
We have to make our own party in this life and this lantern can be the perfect decoration for it.
Drops Safran
For this cute crochet lantern I used three colours of Drops Safran. It’s one of my favourite yarns because of its shine, softness and many beautiful colors. And it gives great stitch definition!
I used powder pink 56 (26 gr), red clay 59 (10 gr), green 4 (10 gr) and amethyst 58 (20 gr)
(Yarn and colors Must-have and Scheepjes Catona are a nice alternative.)
The pattern
The pattern was first published in Dutch Crochet magazine Aan de haak no.31 and now you can find it in both my shops.
Please show me photo’s of you lantern on the socials using the tags #granfestalantern and #knotsosquare I’d love that!
